Mike's Baseball Softball Academy has been helping Connecticut baseball players to develop their baseball/softball skills since 2005. 

Our main objective is to providing quality instruction at affordable prices for serious athletes ages 6 and up who are looking to improve their game. Our one-on-one coaching instruction (with our highly trained, local, and professional staff) provides the individualized attention and guidance that young athletes don't normally have access to. Our goal is to teach our athletes the value of good work ethic, and provide an experience that will strengthen and support the athlete's love of the game. We offer 5 batting cages, 3 pitching mounds, a soft toss area and a 7,500 sq ft fielding area all within our 11,000 square foot facility. Our one on one lessons and clinics offer the best baseball and softball training in the state. Our pro, collegiate and high school staff provide the best training possible for hitting, pitching and catching. Our programs are geared toward both the competitive as well as the recreational player. Our training has developed thousands of players and has sent many on to college on scholarships each year.

CT ANGELS ANNOUNCES TRYOUTS SCHEDULES

CT ANGELS AND MIKES BASEBALL SOFTBALL ACADEMY has scheduled its open tryouts for the 2010 season.  We will be evaluating and assigning players to teams for the 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U spring/summer team, an elite team for a short summer season

When:
10U team and 12U team:  January 18, 2010.  7:30 PM  Location – Mikes Academy
13U team and 14U team:  January 19, 2010   7:30 PM  Location – Mikes Academy
16U team and 18U team:  February 5, 2010   7:30 PM  Location – Mikes Academy

WE WILL HAVE A 10U team, 12U team, 14U team, 16U team AND 18U team.  If they cant make the tryout date to plaes contact me to set up a personal tryout.

Assistants for the program have at least the minimum experience of the college level.

Fees
Will be based on individual teams which will be introduced at the parents meeting
Team workouts begin first week of Feb.
Fees include facility, 4 tournaments, uniform, bags, shirts
Fund raising has been done in the past to help offset costs, it is
available based on each individual team parent
Handbooks given to players and parents at parents meeting.
Cost last year ranged from $1200-$1750

A $100.00 deposit is required to hold your class enrollment slot.

OUR STAFF

MIKE O'KEEFE : OWNER / INSTRUCTOR He played seven years of professional baseball with the Angels, Red Sox, and Braves. Highest level played was Triple AAA.

MIKE RANFONE:  STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING Former coordinators for the strength and conditioning program at Yale University.  Michael is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Trevor Brown:  PITCHING COACH (FORDHAME UNIVERSITY) Brown brings professional playing experience, having played two seasons in the Western Australian Baseball League with one-year stays with the Albany-Colonie Diamond Dogs of the Eastern League and the Johnstown Steel of the Frontier League.

Dwight Wildman: Dwight Wildman is the CT Angels 14u coach. He was a First Team All-American and won a National Championship at Eastern CT State University.
